How to Succeed: Do Not Be a Dream Chaser!
Deu. 13:3, “You shall not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams…..” Deu. 13:4, “You shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear Him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice, and you shall serve Him, and cleave unto Him.”
Be careful of false prophets and fake dreams. You must remember that Satan was one of God’s top commanders (top angels) in heaven. The devil knows how to manipulate you into believing that the Holy Spirit has spoken to you. You must learn to discern the Holy Spirit from the devil. If you know in your heart and mind that you should not act in certain way, then don’t do it. As you spend time reading and studying the Word of God (the Bible), you will start to know and discern when God is talking to you.
The devil will do everything in his power to distract you from doing the will of God. The most powerful tool the devil uses to attack you is your mind. The devil loves to attack you in your deepest thoughts and in your dreams. The devil can have you believing something is meant to be, even if, God has informed you that it is not good for you.
Do not be a dream chaser because it is better to live in the here and now. The devil can use your dreams to confuse you about what God has planned for your life and can cause you to miss out on the blessings that God has specifically for you. The devil does not want you to live the life that God has promised you and he will do everything to distract you from living that God given life. It is not good to allow your dreams to take over your life, but to allow God to discern your dreams for you. To fight against the schemes of the devil concerning your mind and your dreams you have to put on the “full armor” of God.
