God Comforts You in Times of Trouble!

God will comfort you in times of trouble.  2 Cor. 1:4,”Who comforts us in all our tribulation that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble.”  When God comforts you, He expects you to comfort someone else in pain.  God will ensure that you are okay no matter what is going on.  You must have the faith that God will get you through the rough patches in life.  No problem is too big for God to handle.  When man says “No”, God will say “Yes”.  God can make a way out of no way.  Believe and trust that God will comfort you, and see you through any tough situation.

God is our comforter in times of trouble and heartache.  Isaiah 66:13, “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.”  Jesus Christ gave His life so that we could have a close relationship with God.  Jesus left us with the Holy Spirit who dwells in each of us.  The Holy Spirit is the comforter that lives within us.  The Holy Spirit reminds us every day that we are not alone and God is working on the inside of us.  God is everywhere and He knows when you need comforting.

Do not be weary or discouraged because God is always there to see you through it all.

Have to Believe in Yourself, When No One Else Will!

There will be times when you may feel that you are not worthy of success.  During these times of self-doubt, it is advisable to make a list of your accomplishments.  It is always good to write down at least five accomplishments that you have completed in the past week.  Keeping a list of successes will remind you of your pure awesomeness.  It is good to keep a grateful list as well.  A grateful list will remind you of the many blessings you have and what a wonderful life you have.  Doing an accomplishment list will keep you focused on your goals and dreams.  With a grateful list, you will be reminded of how blessed you are.  These two lists will remind you that you can do anything you set your mind to.  Numbers 13:30, “We can certainly do it.”  God reminds us every day that no matter what, we can accomplish anything we set out to do.

All it takes is the “faith of a mustard seed” to know that if you believe it, you can achieve it.  Whatever you set your mind to, it can be accomplished. You should not be afraid to live out your dreams because God does not give you more than you can handle.  When you lack faith in self, it is difficult to fulfill your desired goals.  With lack of faith, nothing can be accomplished.  With a little faith in God and self, big things will occur.

Remember that it only takes the “faith of a little mustard seed” in self to get the job done.  Be willing to believe in your own capabilities to turn your dreams into a reality.  Do not worry about what others believing in you, just believe in yourself.

You Must Care About Others!

It is easy to focus on one’s own needs and wants, and forget about what others may need.  It is good to put your needs aside and help someone else.  Caring for others will help you to forget what is troubling you.  Also, caring for others will bring joy to your heart.  The happiest individuals are those who give a helping hand.  They understand that giving of self is the “best medicine for the soul”.  Take time to lend a helping hand and see how healthier your heart becomes.

Do not be the type of person who only focuses on themselves and no one else.  Such individuals are the most miserable people.  But, they have no problem asking for help from others.  Such individuals find it difficult to return the favor.  You must keep in mind that one cannot do everything for everyone.  Sometimes it is okay to limit who you help.  You can do too much for someone causing the individual to become too dependent on you.  You must learn how to balance the giving of your heart vs. taking time to care for yourself.  You are no use to anyone if you are not taking care of your health.

It does the heart good when you do something that benefits others. But, there must be a balance between helping others vs. caring for self.

Nurturing A Rose

Love cures a lot.

Morning Story and Dilbert

Morning Story and Dilbert Vintage Dilbert
August 19, 1999

When I arrived at 6 a.m. in the large hospital kitchen, Rose was already checking name tags on the trays against the patient roster. Stainless steel shelves held rows of breakfast trays, which we would soon be serving.

“Hi, I’m Janet.” I tried to sound cheerful, although I already knew Rose’s reputation for being impossible to work with. “I’m scheduled to work with you this week.”

Rose, a middle-aged woman with graying hair, stopped what she was doing and peered over her reading glasses. I could tell from her expression she wasn’t pleased to see a student worker.

“What do you want me to do? Start the coffee?” I asked.

Rose sullenly nodded and went back to checking name tags.

I filled the 40-cup pot with cold water and began making the coffee when Rose gruffly snapped, “That’s not the way to make coffee.” She…

Why Being Generous is good for the Soul?

It is not in our nature, as human beings, to be selfish.  Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice by giving His life for our sins.  We are made in God’s likeness which means we must be generous and not selfish. No one can make it in this world alone. Always need help from someone.  God created His children to have love and compassion for one another.  The best way to love one another is by giving each other a helping hand when needed.

Philippians 2:2, “Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind”. Philippians 2:5, “You must have the same attitude that Jesus Christ had”.  Being unselfish and generous with your time is the best remedy for a broken spirit.  Sometimes happiness comes from knowing that you have made a person’s day by giving them a helping hand.

So, learn to be generous and unselfish like Jesus Christ.

Be the Woman You Were Designed to Be!

Women should always strive to be the “best version of themselves”. God created women as a masterpiece of art. He never creates junk.  Women go through trials, struggles, and hardships that mold them into the “greatest version of themselves”.  I love being a woman because women were created by God to be “helpmates” to their male counterparts.  God knew that Adam needed Eve to make him a better man and guide him in life.  Women were created to bear the hardships along with men.  Women are the strongest human beings on earth because they bear it all without giving up.  Ephesians 2:10, “We are created to do good works, which God prepared in advance.”  As a woman, we are given the chance to do great things in life that will have an impact on the world.

Empowered women have the best traits:

  • Strong when needed.
  • Loving when necessary.
  • Provide guidance when needed.
  • Be a “silent force” when necessary.

Women have the wonderful gift of giving birth to future generations.  Women nurture future generations to make a difference in the world.

Do not be afraid to be the “best woman you can be” because God wants you to reach your full potential as a strong and powerful woman.

Generosity Pays Off!

You must be willing to give of self to others.  When you are generous, you reap goodness for the person you are helping.  But, in turn, you are being rewarded as well.  God created us to be helpers of one another.  Sometimes it is better to give than to receive.  Luke 6:38, “Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall man give into your bosom.  For with the same measure that you mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”  Luke 6:45, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”  Do not be afraid to give of yourself to others because the reward you receive is beyond measure.

Even if, someone is not worthy of your generosity still be kind to them.  God will notice your kindness and will reward you accordingly.  God blesses those who are a blessing to others.  When you give do it from the heart because the heart speaks volumes.  The heart has the loudest voice.

The Bible Has the Answer!

I am learning that the world’s definition of “success” does not match my definition of it.  I define “success” based on the biblical terms of God.  Psalm 19:7-8, “V7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.  V8 The statutes of the Lord are right; rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes”.  Success means sharing my gifts with others.  Hoping that my gifts add value to the lives of others.  Success means wanting to see others achieve their desired goals.  Also, with true success there should be any issue with sharing the “fruits of your labor”.  Successful people have had help along the way.  Individuals who have received help have no issue with paying it forward by helping others.

God gives us the tools and resources needed to thrive in life.  The Bible is the most important resource to have to live a God-destined life.  The Bible gives answers to everyday problems.  It gives instructions on how to deal with stressful situations.  The Bible is the best resource I have when it comes to running my business.

The Bible is the greatest resource to have to live a purposed-filled life.
