No Mountain is Too Hard for You to Climb

As a small business owner, I have learned that the best “road to success” is the one filled with mountains that I must climb.  When you tackle a mountain, three things will occur:

  • You learn to depend on God and others.
  • You are allowed to celebrate the big victories.
  • You grow as an individual.

You have to have faith in God and yourself to tackle the “mountains” of life. Joshua 14:12, “Do not be afraid to ask for challenges in life (mountains).”

As an entrepreneur, the way to grow in your area of expertise is by gaining knowledge regularly. Plus, stretching yourself beyond your limits.   Successful business owners flourish because they are not afraid to be challenged and stretched beyond their “comfort zone”.  Also, they have no problem taking on challenges that will not only benefit them, but will benefit others.  We were born to be entrepreneurs and were given the desire to do something better with our lives.

God created us to be dreamers and gave us the skills, talents, and resources to make our dreams a reality.

Respond with a Positive Attitude

You should never allow the “bad attitude” of one person to dictate your attitude.  The best way to deal with negative people is to kill them with kindness.  Matthew 7:17, “Every good tree brings forth good fruit.”  Just learn to walk from a person with a “bad attitude”, so that it does not rub off on you.

Having a positive attitude can do the following for your health:

  • Stress free life.
  • Healthier life.
  • Live longer.
  • Live an abundant life full of joy, peace, and happiness.

Having a positive attitude is the best remedy to deal with the stresses of the day.  As a parent, you must teach your children that responding to stressful situations in a positive way is the best.  When responding to stressful situations, you must understand that are consequences to how you react to the situation.  You have to realize that every action has a consequence whether good or bad.

Remember positivity is the best medicine for a bad day.

Forgiveness is Power

The four elements of forgiveness are:

  1. Forgiving does not mean that what happened to you was right, but you have decided not to allow it to control your life.
  2. No matter if the person who wronged you does not admit guilt, you will forgive them.
  3. By forgiving the offending party, this will encourage them to seek forgiveness from you.
  4. With forgiveness, you learn that everyone needs to be forgiven for something.

Forgiveness gives you a sense of peace and calm.  When you forgive someone, you are setting yourself free.  Also, forgiving a person sets them free as well.  We must learn to love each other and not hate each other.  Forgiveness is the best way of showing someone how much you love them.

Ep. 4:32, “Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, as God has forgiven you for Jesus’ sake.”  How can you call yourself a Christian when you refuse to forgive others? God has forgiven us for our sins by sacrificing his son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins.  Jesus forgave us because He did not have to sacrifice his life for our sins.  Jesus Christ forgave us and gave His life for our sins, so that we could have a personal relationship with God.

Remember someone has forgiven you for hurting them; and you should be willing to forgive someone for hurting you.

You Are a Born Leader

Every person created by God has the capacity to lead others to their salvation.  Every human being has an anointing on their life commissioned by God to do great things.  The anointing from God on your life can be seen by others because you are a radiant child of God.  People will recognize your anointing based on how you carry yourself.

The anointing that God gives you can be described as the Lord empowering and equipping you to succeed in what He wants you to do.  God anoints each of us with special gifts like:

  • Preaching;
  • Teaching;
  • Encouraging; and
  • Supporting.

The list goes on and on.  You, as a child of God, must embrace your anointing gift.

Four characteristics of being an “anointed leader”:

  • God has commissioned you to do a specific job for His Kingdom. When people are around an anointed person, they know God has assigned this individual to fulfill a particular purpose.
  • People can trust an anointed person.
  • The anointed individual gets the job done right and the results validate their calling.
  • Anointed people are straightforward; have a spiritual backbone; moral; and stand up for what is right.

People will follow you, if they can see God’s anointing power radiating from you.

Learning and Growing as an Expert!

How can you say you are skilled at something, if you are not willing to educate yourself daily on that skill? Today, everyone is an expert at something.  But, the most knowledgeable people are those who are not afraid to admit that they do not know everything.  An expert is an individual who is skilled and trained on a particular subject matter.  But, who also continues to train and learn new advancements in their area of expertise.  An expert will inform you when they are not familiar with a subject matter. An expert has no issue with referring you to an individual who is considered an expert on that particular subject.  An expert will provide you with resources and contacts that can assist you with your particular problem or issue.  A “true expert” understands the importance of continuing education to remain up to date with the current trends on a subject matter.

As Proverbs 9:8-9 states, “…rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.  Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man and he will increase in learning.”  When you become an expert on a topic, it means that you clearly understand the subject.  Also, that you have the educational background and essential training to be considered an expert on the matter.  Experts are continuously educating themselves on their area of expertise.

The most knowledgeable in the world are those who love to learn.  The best individuals to teach are those who love to receive correction and instruction.  As a small business owner, I am learning that you have to remain abreast of the latest trends in your area of expertise.  I love to attend seminars and workshops that provide me with more efficient ways to serve my customers.

An expert is an individual who understands the following:

  • Continuing education is important.
  • Growth gives one strong character.
  • Gaining knowledge is an ongoing process.
  • Never too old to learn.

Being an expert, requires continued learning on a daily basis.

Withdrawing in order to Draw!

The secret to success is knowing what God has gifted and assigned you to do.  Once you know your gift and assignment, you can delegate other non-essential tasks or let them go.  Do not allow others to waste your time or energy from God’s calling on your life.  Get rid of all activities that drain your time and energy.  You should be spending time on tasks and activities that give you energy and fill your tank.

John 6:15, “When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take Him by force, to make Him a King, He departed again into a mountain by Himself to be alone.”  Jesus knew the importance of spending quality time with God alone.  Jesus understood the importance of spending time alone to regroup, refocus, and re-energize his “spiritual fuel system”.  Sometimes it is advisable to withdraw from life for a moment to be able to draw back into life.

Withdrawing from life for a moment helps you to do the following:

  • Rethink what is important right now.
  • Prioritize what tasks need to be completed.
  • Decide which tasks are non-essential and can be delegated to someone else.
  • Create a “to do list” to stay organized and on track.
  • Spend quality time with God to seek guidance in handling daily tasks.

How to stay on the “track to success” and not burn out? You must have spiritual rest and spiritual renewal. You must have a daily routine of withdrawing from the world to do the following:

  • Meditate on your plans and priorities.
  • Recharge your batteries.

To be effective with helping others, you must be able to spend time alone.

You have to “withdraw from life to draw into life” to be able to have quality time to do activities that energize you.  Also, to be able to re-fuel your mind, body, and spirit. By doing so, you will have reserves you can draw from to help others.

You will make it Through the Storm!

Fear can paralyze you and make you forget about how many times Jesus has brought you through a tough situation.  Fear makes you lose your faith in God.  It makes you forget about the many successes in your life.  Fear will make you forget about the many blessings God has put into your life.  Fear is very deadly when you are going through a “storm” because it makes you lose faith in yourself and God.

God sometimes puts you “through a storm” to do the following:

  • Teach you a lesson.
  • Grow your faith.
  • Take you to the next level in your “faith walk”.

Remember “no weapon formed against you shall prosper”.  Sometimes we create our own “storms” when we fail to listen to God.  Storms will come and go in your life. But, you must press forward and let God guide you through the storm.  No matter what do not lose your faith when you are going through a storm.
